It's T Ball Season again!

We have so much fun going to Easton's T Ball games. He is such a great little player. He is running so much faster this year and he can hit that ball so hard! We missed one of his games when he made a double play. He was playing first base. We heard all about it. Rob got some great pictures of this game so I thought I would share. Love to all.

Priesthood Power

I just thought I would share a great picture of Mac on the day he received the Melchizedek Priesthood. I am so thankful for his progress and could not be more proud of him. I love Melanie with all my heart. It is very apparrant to me how much she loves him and I love her for that. I so appreciate her family that has accepted him in and supported him so much.

Wow - how time flies!

Since I posted last, so many things have happened:
1. I was in bed with the H1N1 flu. Flat out for 4 days, then recovering for 3. It was not fun. But I am way better now and back to myself.
2. Worked on 10 weddings successfully. Oh, how I love a happy bride.
3. Cheered Easton on at his T-Ball game.
4. Rob took a trip to Edmonton to be with Mac on his special day. I am so thankful for the priesthood, for a husband who honors his and for a son who is worthy to receive it!!
5. Had a birthday - 51. Someone said "oh I heard you are 29 today??" I would not want to go back to being 29 for anything. I am good with my age!
6. Went to see Aubrey in her play "Much ado about nothing". She is an awesome villianess!
7. Had a wonderful birthday dinner with Kevin and Halli and kids. Thanks so much for a wonderful evening.
8. Celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving by making a pumpin pie. It was delish!

So, I just wanted to let everyone know how much I appreciate their birthday wishes and thoughtfulness. I am truly blessed.

Long Time

I have decided that I am a terrible blogger. I just can't seem to take the time to update my own even though I love to read other's. But, better late than never - right.
I took a trip to Utah/California/Utah at the end of August. Had a great time. Lot's of memories and fun times. Here are some pictures:
My time at Disneyland was so very special. My kids said it was magical and that is the exact word that I will use to describe it. Everything we did gave me chills. Watching the little ones be so excited about every little thing was so amazing. Thanks to Marci and Christian for letting me be there with them. Christian - thanks for talking me into going on all those rides that I didn't think would be able to do. Seriously - Tower of Terror - I did it!! Thanks.
Cinderella was so sweet. She even told Eden that she loved her. How special is that!!

This Mickey was so cute with the girls. He just loved them up.

Oh how we loved Tinkerbell. She was adorable and Eden loved, loved, loved her. She even made her own costume!

Eden and I rode the roller coaster. She is ready with her arms up. What a trooper.

One of the best parts of being in California was watching Marci run her 1/2 Marathon. I am so very proud of her for this accomplishment. She was amazing. 13 miles in just over 2 hours - 2 hours and 10 minutes to be exact. I am so thankful that I could be there to see her cross the finish line. You can accomplish anything you put your mind to - she was amazing.

Got to spend a couple of days with the Radandt's in Salt Lake. It was so nice to see them again and spend some time with them. Luke and I played with his new Lego set for quite a long time. I will have great memories of that - thanks Luke!! I got to go to the place where Nicole had her pioneer camp this summer. She showed me all around and all the fun things she did while she was there. Let's hope we never have to do laundry that way!!! Can't wait for November when they will be coming back here for a visit. Love and miss you!

So, it was such a great trip and I miss everyone terribly. I did see Stefanie and Kayla but didn't have quite enough time with them. Can't wait until Christmas in Mexico!!

Summer Vacation

Well, Rob decided that we should drive home this year for our visit to Canada. I was not really in favor but it turned out to be a very nice trip together. We first stopped in Denver to get a little bit of Eden and Ella time. We miss them so much and they are growing up so fast that I feel like we miss so much when we are not with them. It is so fun to see how different they are.

Eden is talking up a storm and sure does love her little sister. I can't believe how long her hair is getting and what a big girl she is.

Ella is in to everything. She is crawling everywhere and if you just blink, she is gone. So different from Eden at this age. She is so happy and smiley and will eat everything in sight.

Then on to Canada!! We had an Ellingson Family Reunion - just Rob's brother's and sister's. There were about 100 people there. It was so much fun to see everyone. It was a great 3 days.

We stayed at my parents home and had some challenging times there. They are getting too old to still be in their home, but they just won't give it up. My Dad is 91 and has alot health challenges. My Mom has been caring for him for so long now that it wearing on her health.

Finally, Malcolm and Melanie and Cambria came to Carston to join us and what a wonderful time we had with them. We were a little worried that Cami might not know us, but no worries - she came right to us. Melt my heart!!!!!! We had a great time and did some very fun things together. Great memories and Cami was saying Mimi and Grandpa before we left. It was worth every hour of driving. Thanks to everyone for making our vacation so great.

In Memory of Niko

Pets are a part of your family and we certainly have felt that Niko has been a part of our family for his whole like. We got him when he was only 5 weeks old and he was the most beautiful puppy ever! He stole our hearts and now our hearts are so sad at the passing of our sweet dog. I just thought I would share a few pictures with you. We will miss him terribly but know that we will see him again some day.

Look at how much Eden has changed. She is now two years old. What a big girl. She is so sweet and we love her so much. We had a great time with her here for a week. Eden, we love you soooooooooooooooo much.

Marci and Christian took the girls to Disneyland and Sea World last month. They had such a great time and so I wanted to make a few pages of their trip. They have some great pictures and had so much fun. Jake and Victoria were there with them. Daxton and Eden get along so well, they really do love each other. We have always said that Cambria looks alot like Mac, but when Melanie sent me this picture, I just couldn't believe how much she really does. Goin' to the Zoo

We had so much fun at the zoo with the Halli and Kevin and the kids. We enjoyed every minute with them. We saw so many great animals. The swinging monkeys were my favorite - or - was it the Giraffe that kept playing with his tongue - or - was it the white tiger, oh I can't decide. I loved them all. I feel so very blessed to have such beautiful grandbabies! Sweet little Ella has added so much joy and happiness to my life that it is hard to express just how much I love her. She just makes me smile every time I get to see her. We have been blessed to be able to video chat with Marci and Christian quite often during the holidays and it has been so much fun to see the kids playing and it just feels like we are there with them. We are so blessed!

I just wanted to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas. I have been so busy at work that I have not had the time or strength to sit at the computer at all!! I had a wonderful time off but I guess that my work had to make up for my time gone when I got back. Hopefully things will slow down soon. Sunday walk on the beach. This was a beautiful little beach that was mostly used by locals.
We loved the Sea Turtles. That were so amazing. We could just sit and watch them for hours. These guys were just sunning themselves on the rocks.
Sunset at A Bay. The name is very long and starts with an A, but everyone just calls it a Bay. It truly was the most beautiful place to watch the sun go down.
This was called Akaka Falls. It was such a huge drop. It was very rainy here and we got quite wet on the walk back to our car.

We were so blessed to be able to go to Hawaii for 11 days!!! Now we know why they call it Paradise. It truly is the most beautiful place. We met our dear friends - the VanOrmans - from Medicine Hat, Alberta and had such a great time with them. We played on the beach, watched beautiful sunsets, swam with the Sea Turtles and many, many more things. Just thought I would share a couple of pictures of our trip.

So, I am feeling like I have so many blessings right now that I just had to share a few. We have a very precious new grandbaby in our family!!! Ella Margaret Rodee was born on October 29, 2008 at 10:54 AM. She weighed in at 7 lbs. 3 oz. She has tons of black hair and dark eyes. Of course she came one day after I left Utah. Another blessing we have is that we were able to video chat with Marci and Christian right after Ella was born - that was amazing. We didn't feel quite so bad about not being there with them. I told Rob that the money we paid for my laptop was worth every penny, just to be able to do that!!!!! So here is a picture of our latest little sweetie!

Just got back from Utah and "SERIOUSLY", Eden couldn't get any cuter!! I had such a great time visiting with all my girls (and Christian). Stefanie through Marci a shower for friends and Brittney and Marg through one for family. Both turned out so great. Small and intimate, just the way it should be. I was able to spend individual time with each of the girls, which rarely happens. Moments to cherish! Here are some pictures~!

On the countdown

There are so many things that I am counting down to that it gets a little overwhelming some times. In 6 days I leave to go to Utah to see my girls!! I am so excited that I am starting to not be able to sleep at night. :) In one month Rob and I leave to go to Hawaii for 11 days of sunshine, relaxation, beaches, whales, dolphins, hiking, relaxation, hand and foot, relaxation!!!!!! Can you tell I am most excited about the relaxation. We are going with the VanOrmans from Medicine Hat. We can hardly wait. Rob is the one loosing sleep over this excitement!!! In 6 weeks (probably while we are in Hawaii :( our 3rd granddaughter will join our family!!! I cannot even begin to explain how excited I am about this little bit of goodness in our lives!!! I have been imagining what she looks like and what color her eyes are going to be. Will she look like Eden or will she look like Marci????? I can't wait to put her in my arms and hold her!!! So many good things to look forward to. Then I put Christmas in there and how am I going to get everything done. Oh well, if it doesn't get done, it doesn't get done. But right now, I am 6 days away from seeing the girls!!! Here I come!

Mother/Daughter

So, most of you know that we are expecting our 3rd granddaughter in November and we are so excited!!! I miss my kids and their kids so much. This morning I was looking at some pictures and I came across this picture of Marci and Eden. I have been thinking about what this new baby is going to look like alot lately and this picture just really reminded me of how much Eden looks like her Daddy. I love the contrast in this picture. Marci is so dark and Eden is so fair!! I just can't wait to see what this new baby will look like and what joy she will bring to our lives.

Our trip to Philmont was so enjoyable. Kayla was so happy to have us there to see all the things that she has been telling us about for years. The wedding of Paige and Scott was so beautiful. We were excited to be there and be a part of this blessed day!! Here are some pictures from our trip.

So I can't believe that Gracie Hockenjos is already 2 months old. She is growing up way to fast. Every time we see her she has changed. The Tram!

We had a chance to go and visit with Marci, Christian and Eden for a day - on our way to Philmont, New Mexico. We decided to go on a tram ride. Any of you that know me very well, know that I have quite a fear of heights!! So, I couldn't not go!! The ride up was a little freightening for me, but I made it just fine. Our dear friends Halli and Kevin Hockenjos had another sweet baby to add to their family. Her name is Gracie LaRae Hockenjos. She was born on June 24th @ 12:25 PM. She weighed in at 7lbs. 6oz. She is so sweet!!!!! Very blonde. Lots of hair, but so blonde you can hardly see it on top. Tons at the back. We are hoping she gets curls like Saylor!!! I can tell she loves us already, because we love her already!!!!! Welcome to the family.

Summer is here!

Oh my goodness, it is so hot here!!! We totally missed spring, and just went right into summer. Hot days and hot nights. I am so grateful for AIR CONDITIONING. Frustration

I don't know if anyone else has been having such a hard time with blogger, but I have been very frustrated!! I finally was able to post some pictures that I have trying to do for a couple of weeks. Anyway, things are heating up in Texas!!! We have had a hot streak for the last few weeks here. The wind has been terrible the last few days. We feel like we are back in southern Alberta!!!!! Our neighbors tree split right down the middle and fell over onto his driveway. It was terrible. We are getting so excited to go to Canada for our family reunion. I can't wait!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, I better go get some groceries!

Time Off

Well, I finally have a few days off in a row!! I am so excited I don't know what to do with myself. So I have done laundry and dishes and picked up my house and then I sat down to do what i really wanted to do! Kayla has been home for a few weeks and she has been looking through my scrapbooking pages that I have been doing. There are not too many of her and so I decided to do a couple of pages of her. I thought I would share then with you all! Thanks to Brittney for her many talents and sharing them with me. I used her kit and templates for these layouts!! Thanks again Brittney!

By the way, we are booking our airplane tickets to go back to Canada for a family reunion - WOW are they expensive. I can't stand it!!! That should be illegal! I hate that we are so far from everyone. Oh well, it's just money!!!!!

Memorial Day

So we went over to the Hockenjos's to swim on Monday. Rob took a few pictures of Saylor and I thought I would share a couple of them. She truly is the girl of many faces. We had a great time. It has been so hot here, that a swim really did feel so good. And just so you know, I was on the winning Volleyball team!!!!!

So here is my first page for sweet Cambria. I have not been able to hold her yet but I am sure going to make as many pages as I can. We will go up in a few weeks and then I can get my fill of holding and kissing her sweet little face. I love her already!

Introducing our newest Grandbaby - Sweet little girl - Cambria Pearl Ellingson

Malcolm and Melanie are the proud parents of this sweet little girl. Born Feb. 27th, 2008.

She is just a bit of a thing - 6lbs. 2 ozs. We love her already and we haven't even been able to see her yet. Thank heavens for cell phones!!!!! All these were taken with Mac's phone. We hope to get some real pictures soon! I can't wait to hold her and give her tons of kisses!!!

I love days at home!!! We had a very busy day at work yesterday and so I am grateful for a day at home. Here are a couple of pages that I did this morning. I am trying the 12 x 24 inch size because they are so much cheaper to print!!! We will see how it goes. Have a great everyone.

Those of you who know me, know that I was very worried about Kayla leaving home. Not for her but for the loneliness I would feel. I think I have done pretty good and I know that Kayla has done a fantastic job of being on her own. That being said....we missed her terribly and were so excited to have her come home for a few weeks. She spent much more time with us than we expected and that was a treat for us. She was not sure what she was going to do on New Years eve, so Rob and I went to a movie. When we came home we found Kayla with 5 boys rockin' out to classic rock and watching star wars movies. Her old friends were all so good to her and they had a great time. We are thankful for good friends!!!!!

I have had a few days off this week and it has been so nice to be able to sit down and do a little bit of scrapbooking. I love these pictures we took at Christmas time.
Rob and I are enjoying being Grandparents so much that I thought I would do a page about that. Rob is the best Grandpa ever!!!!! We wonder every day why we live in TEXAS. Then we look at the weather report and remember why we love it here. Yes, we miss everyone so much but we do not miss shoveling the snow!

So, Mac and Melanie are not finding out what gender their baby is. Obviously, anyone who knows Mac, knows that the decision to not find out must have been Melanies!!! Mac has never been able to keep a secret or wait for anything in his life. He has peeked every Christmas that I can remember. So, from a mothers perspective - this is totally JUSTICE!!!! They are getting very excited and so are we. It will be so exciting to see what this baby looks like. Mac is so dark and Melanie is so fair. Good luck you two!

The search for the perfect Christmas Dress for Eden was long and hard, but Marci finally found a beautiful one here in Texas when she came in November. Doesn't Eden look beautiful!!! Of course, she would look cute no matter what she was wearing!!! That's our beautiful girl.

So I am not very good at keeping up with this blog thing. I haven't written in my journal since my last baby was born - She is eighteen now!!!!! That may give you an idea about just how bad I am at journaling! That is why I started scrapbooking. So I will share my pages with everyone as best I can and try to add some written word with them. I have just added a few pages over the last few days and I just love how they have turned out. I think it is an addiction. But as you can see we have had some great times over that last few months. Of course, Our Grandbaby Eden is the cutest thing ever and we never have a shorage of pictures of her to scrap. Our son Mac was married in September and so we have a few pictures of them. It was a great vacation for us. We love our family and are still trying to get used to being home with no children. Some call it empty nesters, but I call it Children Challenged. I am sure someday I will love it, but for now I still really miss everyone.
